Trinity Newsletter

Well, most everyone has received the new EVE newsletter, I gotta say, I'm always happy to receive these little gems, they're always so pretty and inviting, whoever designs these does a fantastic job. If you didn't get the newsletter, it's available online, just click the image below. They're planning on updating the graphics engine this November, so far as I've seen, there's no hard date set, but November is supposedly the "magic month".

What will this mean for current users? Nothing really, the current client will still be usable, but for people who have computers with pixel shader 3 technology in their video cards it'll be a much anticipated boost in the game's already amazing graphics, it'll be approximately a 1 Gb download, which isn't much considering the size of the average game these days. They plan on releasing the new engine in the background so that you can continue playing with the current engine until the new one is finished downloading, sounds smart. I'll be among the people needing to upgrade their computers before being able to use the shiny new graphics, but I'm planning on upgrading soon anyway, so it's not going to be a strain on my budget. I'll leave you with these two preview shots sent out in the newsletter, showing off the "before and after" of the graphics upgrade.
